Job Description
Job Title: Operational Excellence Lead
Location: Frimley/Filton / Weymouth/ Farnborough, we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £58,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
• Leading workshops / Practical problem solving events within integrated Combat Systems that will save costs or improve schedule performance
• Leading on elements of Operational Excellence initiatives and responsible business behaviours
• Supporting, establishing, and maintaining Operational Excellence strategy and objectives
• Supporting the Operational Excellence Management team in addressing planned and unplanned tasks
• Managing wider stakeholder engagement – key relationship building
• Leading and facilitating training for the wider team
Your skills and experiences:
• Working understanding of Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement methodologies including Lean and Six Sigma
• Working knowledge of Project Management principles
• Demonstrable problem-solving skills within teams
• Ability to motivate individuals and teams to embrace change and drive improvement
• Experience in facilitating training, coaching, and mentoring a team

The Operational Excellence team:
This is an exciting time to support the leads within the wider team and work with our largest external stakeholder, the Ministry of Defence. Within Operational Excellence and The Dreadnought Programme, the largest defence programme in the UK, you will impart information, facilitate training, and provide guidance to the rest of the team.
